Paleo Tuna Cakes Made With Sweet Potatoes

If you are eating Paleo or maybe just looking for a healthier option to the old fashioned tuna cakes, then this recipe is for you. I am going to show you how to make these Paleo tuna cakes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Minced Red Bell Pepper
  • 2 Cans Tuna In Water drained
  • 1/2 Cup Cassava Flour
  • 2 Cups Shredded Sweet Potato raw
  • 1/3 Cup Jalapeno minced and seeds removed
  • 1/2 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Tsp Himalayan Pink Salt optional
  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Onion Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or you can add a piece of parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Set it aside.

  3. Grab a medium mixing bowl, add all ingredients and combine using clean hands. 

  4. Use a ⅓ measuring cup to scoop up the mixture. Then form into patties.

  5. Add the patties to the prepared baking sheet. Bake the patties in the preheated oven for 20-23 minutes.

  6. Flip them halfway through so they cook evenly on both sides.
