Servings 8 balls

Ingredients

  • 2 Frozen Salmon Steaks
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs or gluten free crumbs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard Powder
  • Canola Oil or Avocado Oil

Dipping Sauce Ingredients - ½ C. Mayo, 1 tsp. Garlic powder, 1 tsp fresh Lime juice

Instructions

  1. Thaw salmon in a bowl of lukewarm water (in plastic packaging) for 10 minutes, or until thawed.

  2. Drain water, open packages and put salmon back in the bowl.

  3. Smash salmon into pieces with a fork. Remove any pieces of skin.

  4. Then mix in the egg until well blended.

  5. Add in spices and crumbs and mix well.

  6. Form mixture into balls about the size of meatballs.

  7. Heat pan of oil. You only need about 1/4 inch oil in the bottom of the pan.

  8. Add balls to hot oil and fry on medium to low heat until brown on all sides.

  9. Remove from pan and place on cooling rack to drain off any extra oil.

For the dipping sauce, simply mix all the sauce ingredients together until fully blended. Then place in small bowl by the fish balls.
