Camp Ice Cream - Mint Chocolate Chip Flavor

Going camping or without power and still want ice cream? Learn how to make this mint chocolate chip camp ice cream! Easy and no power needed!

  • 1/8 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 4 Drops Peppermint Oil
  • 8 Oz Shelf Stable Whole Milk
  • 1/8 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Cups ┬áIce
  • 1 Gallon Ziplock Bag
  • 1 Quart Ziplock Bag
  • 1/8 Cup Salt


  1. Add milk, sugar, peppermint, and chocolate chips to the quart-size bag and close it.

  2. In the gallon bag, add ice and salt.

  3. Now place the quart bag inside the gallon bag.

  4. Hold the bag at the top zipped area (the bottom will be super cold) and start lightly shaking it. Continue shaking for about 15 minutes or until ice cream forms.

  5. When frozen serve immediately as it is a softer ice cream.
