Salt And Pepper Pumpkin Seed Recipe

Using fresh pumpkins, don't toss out the seeds! They make for a healthy snack! I am going to show you how to make this salt and pepper pumpkin seed recipe.

  • Seeds From Pie Pumpkin cause others just will need to add little extra oil and spices
  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sea Salt
  • 1/8 Tsp Black Pepper


  1. Cut a hole in the pumpkin and remove the seeds.

  2. Remove as much of the pumpkin string and meat from the seeds by hand.

  3. Rinse seeds in a colander under some water to get off remaining parts of pumpkin.
  4. Place seeds on baking mat or towel and make sure they are spread out. Allow to dry for five hours. 

  5.  Put seeds in a mixing bowl with oil, salt, and pepper and mix well.

  6. Preheat oven of 250 degrees.

  7. Put them on a  silicone baking mat on a cookie sheet making sure they are spread out.

  8. Put on center rack in the oven and cook for about 30 – 45 minutes until cooked to the brownness you like. Flipping the seeds halfway through.

  9. Allow to cool and then store in an airtight container
