Going camping but going to miss your ice cream treats? Did you know you can make camp ice cream even when you have no power?
Making ice cream while you are camping is super easy. Plus it gives the kids something to do too. But I am not talking about making just simple vanilla camp ice cream. I am going to share my recipe for mint chocolate chip flavor!
One of the best things about this recipe is it is made from all shelf-stable ingredients. The only thing you will need that is from the freezer is some ice.
What Is Camp Ice Cream?
It is ice cream that is made while you are at camp when you do not have the power to use an ice cream maker.
Plus you will not have to worry about storing it after it is made as you will only be making it in single to double servings.
Another great thing about camp ice cream is it is great for when the power goes out as well. So you can still enjoy ice cream treats even if you have lost your power for a few days.
While this recipe is made from shelf-stable ingredients and does not require power, you will need ice.
Most people have ice available when camping. Whether that be from a bag you bought for the cooler or it may also be available at the campground office.
