If you are having a party or just looking for a nice side dish that has a little bit of a zing, then this is a wonderful recipe to try. It is a homemade coleslaw recipe with a twist.
This recipe is a little different than the everyday homemade coleslaw as in uses a lemon pepper seasoning! It gives it a nice little added zing!
While this recipe was made using pre-bagged slaw mix, you can also use fresh. Simply swap it out with 5-6 cup mix of green cabbage, red cabbage and a few carrots that have all be shredded into small pieces.
This recipe can just about fit any dietary needs. It is gluten free, dairy free, sugar-free, low carb, Paleo and Whole 30! So no matter what diet you are on this recipe should fit. If you are on an egg-free diet, simply use an egg-free mayo.

Homemade Coleslaw Recipe With A Twist
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning salt free
- 1/2 tsp Dried Dill fresh will also work
- 6 Cups Coleslaw Mix or chop your own cabbage and carrots
- 1/3 Cup Sunflower Seeds optional
- 1/2 Fresh Lime
- Black Pepper to taste
Instructions

Begin by mixing the mayo, lemon pepper and dried dill together.

Next, stir in coleslaw mix.

Add in your sunflower seeds and stir. (optional)

Squeeze fresh lime over mix and season with salt and pepper to your liking. Then mix again

Cover and let set in the fridge so the ingredients blend well for at least 30 minutes.
Recipe Notes
This recipe tastes good on its own, but it's also great as a topper for seafood and fish tacos!
