Lettuce Wrap Tacos
Looking for a easy, yummy and fun idea for dinner? If so, I have a super easy recipe for you to try. It is a recipe for lettuce wrap tacos. These are a more healthy way to have tacos for dinner, plus they are low carb too.
You could change this over to a Whole30 approved recipe pretty easy, if you wanted to. Just find a taco seasoning that is Whole30 approved and leave out the cheese.
I love using this recipe for easy and fast dinners. Also love that is is low carb as my husband is a diabetic and can not have high carb foods. Anyways, enough chatting, lets get down to some cooking!
Lettuce Wrap Tacos
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 6
Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
- 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning
- Romaine Hearts
- 1/3 cup Water
- Additional Taco Toppings of your choice
- 8 oz Shredded Cheese
- 1 Diced Tomato
Instructions

First you want to brown the meat in a large pan.

Then drain off excess grease.

Now slowly add water and taco seasoning mix and heat on medium until liquid is almost gone, stirring occasionally.

Take the romaine leaves and separate and trim any excessive stalks.

Place about 1/4 cup of taco meat on each leaf.

Add cheese, tomatoes and any other taco toppings you like.

Serve immediately. Do not let stand to long as the lettuce will start to wilt.
