Looking for a bread recipe you can make from the pantry with no butter or eggs? I have just the pantry white bread recipe for you to try!
Pantry White Bread Recipe
Not only is this bread recipe made using items from the pantry, but it is also super easy to make too! It turns out so light and fluffy. Perfect for sandwiches, toast or even to make french toast.
Because this is homemade bread it will not keep as long as store-bought. After three to four days it will start during out. If you can’t use it all by then, it works great in bread pudding or to make croutons.
This recipe will make one large loaf or two smaller loaves. I make my one large in a 9×5 glass loaf pan.

How To Make This Bread Recipe:
Add the sugar, yeast, and about half of the water to the mixing bowl. Mix well then allow to rest for about 10 minutes. It should be nice and foamy when it is ready to start adding the other items to it.
Next, add in the salt, rest of water, melted shortening, and flour. With the dough hook on the mixer, mix on low speed for 5 minutes or so.
When the dough is fully mixed, turn the dough out on a floured surface. Lightly work the dough for a minute or two to form it into a large bowl.
Lightly oil a large mixing bowl. Then place the dough ball in the oiled bowl and cover with a towel or cling wrap. Set in a draft-free warm area. All to rise for about 45 minutes to an hour. It should be about double in size when it is ready.
Grease a large loaf pan or two smaller ones.
Turn the dough back onto a floured surface. If making two loaves, divide the dough into two pieces. Roll the dough into a tight roll/rectangle to the length of the loaf pan. Tuck the ends under if needs be. You may need to dust with flour to keep from sticking.
Place the rolled dough into the greased pan. Make sure any tucked ends are on the bottom. Cover again and allow to rise another 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 390. Place bread in the middle of the oven and bake for about 40-50 minutes or until lightly golden brown. If making two loaves, bake for about 30 minutes.
When done, turn the bread out onto a cooling rack. Lightly grease the top with a little avocado oil (or oil of choice). Allow it to totally cool before you slice it.
