Back To School Craft Giant Pencil Supplies:
- 1 Wrapping Paper Tube or Paper Towel Tube
- Duct Tape
- Scotch Tape
- Black Permanent Marker
- Scissors
- School Glue
- 1 Sheet Black Construction Paper
- Yellow Tissue Paper
- Pink Tissue Paper
Directions:
First, you want to fold over a piece of the pink tissue paper. You want it to be a double layer. Place it over one end of the cardboard tube and tape it in place with some scotch tape.
Next, start at the edge of the pink tissue paper and wrap the tube in the yellow tissue paper. For mine to be long enough, I had to wrap it at an angle.
Now you want to take your scissors and cut the edge of the yellow paper off. You want it to be a straight line all the way down the tube.
Then grab your glue and run a bead all the way down the yellow paper to glue it in place.
Next, you want to take the black construction paper and put it on the opposite end of the pink tissue paper. You want to shape it so that it makes a point. Then glue or tape it in place.
Grab a strip of Duct tape long enough to go all the way around the cardboard tube. Place it over the area where the pink and yellow tissue paper join.
Then the last thing you need to do is add the #2 with your maker on the yellow paper just under the Duct tape.
That is it! You know have a cute back to school craft – upcycled cardboard tube giant pencil!
