Disney Park Hopper Ticket
vs Regular Ticket, Which Is Best?
Are you thinking about taking the family on a Disney trip? If you have never been, you may be wondering what the difference is between a Disney park hopper ticket and a regular ticket. You may also be wondering if the park hopper price is worth it.
Well, I am going to break the two down so you can see the difference between the two. As well as share some thoughts as to when buying one over the other may be a good or bad idea.
Regular Disney One Park Per Day Ticket:
A regular Disney ticket is where you can visit any of the Disney parks you want. However, you have to stay in just that one park. You can not jump between them even though there are lots of different parks to see.
But one thing to note that each of the parks has little like offshoots of that park. You can still visit those offshoots because it is still within the main park that you choose for that day. Like when visiting the Magic Kingdom park you can also go Tomorrowland that is within the Magic Kingdom.
Disney Park Hopper Ticket:
A Park Hopper ticket will allow you to visit one park and then you can hop on over to another one if you want. You can even leave the next park and go to another or back to the one you started at. It leaves it open so that you can choose to only see and visit the things you want to each day.
One thing to note about park hopping is the time it takes to get between the parks. They are spread out and you have to take a bus, tram, boat or some other form of transportation to get to the next park. These are not really short trips and can eat up a good chunk of park time for the day.
Is Park Hopper Ticket Worth The Extra Money?
Now that you know the difference between the two tickets, have you figured out if a Park Hopper ticket is worth the extra money?
Like I noted under the Park Hopper ticket area it can take time to hop parks. So this is something you really want to think about before doing. Because the more you hop, the less time you have to spend at the parks that day.
If you are visiting the parks for the first time, my opinion is to forgo the Park Hopper ticket and just buy a one park per day ticket. That way you can spend the day slowly looking around the parks and taking in everything it has to offer.
I think Park Hopper tickets work best if you have been before and know what it is you want to see and ride. That way you can go right to just those things.
Something to consider if it is your first visit is buying both. Depending on how many days you will be going, you may want to buy one park per day tickets and then for the last day buy a Park Hopper one. That way you can spend the first days figuring out what you like and want to see/visit again. Then the last day use the hopper to revisit the places you want.
