Healthy Chocolate Avocado Smoothie Recipe
I think one of the reasons I love smoothie recipes so much is because they are super easy to make! Yes, they can be really healthy for you too, but for me, I think I love it more for how easy it is. If you are looking for a new recipe to try, check out my healthy chocolate avocado smoothie recipe below.
This recipe is more on the healthy side as it is not loaded with sugar. Plus it works if you are trying to avoid dairy and stick to a lower carb diet. However feel free to adjust it to your liking and needs. If you want to use real milk or sugar, you totally can do that. Simply just swap them out for the ingredients I used.
You will need a good blender to make this recipe. You could mix by hand, but I have found that it makes the avocados to lumpy and does not give you that silky smooth texture that we all love about smoothies.
I love that by using avocados in this recipe, it adds lots of great healthy fats and protein. According to Fatsecret, an avocado has 322 calories, 29.47g fats, 4.02g protein and 17.15g carbs in one avocado. I am sure these amounts do vary slightly as not all avocados are the same size. But at least it gives you a pretty good idea anyway.
