Turnips are such a lovely root vegetable to add to your garden if you have the space for them. But not everyone knows how they should be cooked. Not only is this roasted turnips recipe super simple it has amazing flavor.
This is one vegetable that brings back memories for me. I remember being a kid and spending time with my poppy at his cabin in the woods. We would go out and grab some turnips from his garden then cook them up for dinner.

How To Make This Roasted Turnips Recipe:
First, you want to preheat your oven to 475 degrees. Then place the peeled and cut turnips into a bowl. Add the olive oil.
Next, add in the melted butter. Then sprinkle enough salt to taste and the nutmeg to the mixture in the bowl. Mix well.
Place the turnips into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle on a little parmesan cheese to taste. Then top the turnips with about 3 to 4 fresh sprigs of thyme.
Bake uncovered for about 15-20 minutes. When done the turnips are just slightly browned on top and fork tender.

- Salt to taste
- 8 oz Turnips (peeled and cut into smaller slices)
- 1 Tbsp Butter melted
- Parmesan Cheese to taste
- 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 Tbsp Olive oil
- 3-4 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 475 degrees.
