Ingredients:
- Whole Coffee Beans (high quality)
- Coarse Sea Salt
- Semi or Dark Chocolate Chips
How To Make This Treat:
The first thing you need to do is to melt the chocolate. To do that add the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe dish. Heat for 20 seconds at a time stirring after each heating.
When the chips are fully melted use a fork to dip the beans in the chocolate. You want to make sure the coffee beans are fully coated. Allow most of the chocolate to drip off.
After the bean is coated, place it on wax paper or a silicone mat.
Allow the beans to cool slightly before adding a pinch of coarse salt to the top of each bean.
You want the chocolate to be cool so the salt will stay in chunks but not so cool that the salt does not stick to the top of the chocolate.
Notes:
If you are looking for this to fit your diet such as low carb, keto, or sugar-free, here are a few things you can do.
You can leave off the slat if you are avoiding slat. You can use sugar-free chocolate or even keto-friendly sugar-free chocolate chips.
These are also really good with a little caramel or butterscotch drizzled over them.
